The best feature of this case is that it takes a standard 240 volt 3 pin power cable. (ie, no worries if you get to your mate's place and forgot to bring the adapter) heck! My kettle uses the same power cable ;)

The Best use I've found for one of these, is to plug in a removable Harddrive caddy. Now you've got a plug and play harddrive, with a quick release and replace.

I highly recommend using this enclosure, both with CD/DVD drives and with especially with removable harddrive caddies.

Talk about easy set up! The Welland USB 5.25 Case was a sinch to install! In approximately 10 minutes I had my DVD burner slotted in and was listening to my favourite CD! (Jody McBryer rocks!)

I've just acquired a Toshiba M200 tablet which did not come with CD or DVD drive. So I went out searching for an external DVD drive. The prices out there were pretty expensive so I thought I would just buy them as separate components, i.e. an external USB 2.0 case and a DVD burner. I settled on the Welland case because of the aluminium casing and the sleek build. It's a very solid device that will take knocks as you cart it around.

Simply slotted in the DVD burner, attached the burner power and IDE plugs, screwed on the back casing, plugged it into my USB port, plugged in the AC power plug as we were up and running. Yes it was that simple!

I've never dealt with Welland products before, but I am very happy with this product. I'm so inspired that I think I'll also stock their 3.5 and 2.5 cases!
