I used it to plug into my iPAQ rx3715.. and it works fine. Can still use it, just like its plugged in the wall socket.
Great for long trips with the GPS and TOM TOM Navigator going.

Note for iRiver users.

Once plugged into your iRiver the unit thinks its connected to your computer and therefore doesn't allow you to play any music.

So you can only 'charge' with this device and not 'charge and play music'.
