hi i have bought a 2gb sandisk card and when i go to insert it into my laptop and the (SD/MMC) drive comes up but when i try and open it says "would you like to format this device" it gets half way and fails" but it allowed me to format this card through a camera, but now when i insert the card into my laptop again it says "please insert disk into this drive" but the card works fine inside my phone so the only way i put stuff onto the card is though blue-tooth but it takes too long to send/recieve files from that. i have checked the device manager under my computer and it says Ricoh SD/MMC Disk Device seems to be working properly, can anyone help?

Memory is memory so what is there to review. Well the first thing is that when you are buying a higher capacity memory card, such as this, you are far safer dealing with a reputable dealer rather than buying from EBay.

What matters though is have you got what you paid for. I bought mine for an O2 Flame. In the slot it went - and no memory. Some fiddling about and then it appeared. A little later it vanished again. TomTom was installed from the card, which worked, except that TomTom would sporadically start up. A bit of detective work and it was discovered TomTom was starting up each time the pda rediscovered the memory card. Some searching on the net revealed this problem wasn't unique to the O2 Flame but in fact many phones and PDAs had the problem with high capacity memory cards. The secret seems to be to reformat the card.

I performed this with a card reader using the Micro SD adapter which is included with the memory card. Note though there is a small slide switch on the side of the adapter marked 'lock'. I interpreted this to be a physical lock to stop the memory card sliding out. More searching on the net revealed this is actually a write protect lock. If you have it on when you try to reformat you will get a write protect error. My choice of drive management tool is CompuApps free Swissknife program which formats and partitions. Format the card to FAT16.

Having done the reformatting pop it back in and no more problems. SanDisk is good quality memory and why this glitch has appeared is odd. I would not let this put me off Sandisk and will continue to buy this product.

I was impressed at the price before I ordered it. Received card and other items ordered very fast. Had three email notices for each processing step of order, which is very impressive service. Micro card fits nicely and works well with my Samsung Blackjack. Thank you Mr Gadget.

Jasjam without GB-storage card is "jammed"; 2BG card allows freedom to enjoy songs, taking photos and video clips; particularly when you read emails with large attachmnents.

Price-wise there is no matching supplier to Mr. Gadget. Same 2G card sold for over 110$ in shops in Sydney.

I was concerned shopping online, but that was last week. I got my card from Mr. Gadget now and good service too. Thanks!

I am very impress with not only this card but also the all round service I have received from Mr Gadget.
The card itself is fantasic value for money. The card writes at just above 10MB/s so copying files is a breeze. It also comes with a SD Convertor where u can slide the Micro SD card in it and it can be used in devices such as a Digital Camera that is compatible with SD Cards.
The service Mr Gadget offers is remarkable! There was an unexpected delay with my order so they, without hesitation upgraded my postage to express at no extra cost.
What an excellent product to match the service I have received.
