I believe I may have been in error with my previous review. I have now managed to get this device working with my peripherals.
Honesty demands I correct the previous review.
However, it is not a particularly well constructed device. I think that I might have been better off spending a bit more and buying a Belkin 4-port device.
Actually I can a compact Belkin 4-port on eBay for just a few dollars more and it is a more compact item than the Rock.
Nevertheless the Rock hub DOES work, once Windows Vista recognises it and installs the driver needed. DON'T add any peripherals UNTIL this has occurred. I think this was my problem.
When peripherals are added I got warning messages that the devices could run faster if connected to a faster USB, so Im still not sure if this really is USB 2.0.

NONE of my USB devices: keyboard, mouse, digital camera, PDA worked with this hub on my Vista Home Premium OS PC!
It completely stuffed up the drivers for my Logitech Wireless mouse leading to an half hour phone conversation with Logitech to sort out.
Nor did it work with more than one port active on my daughter's lap top. As soon as any other items were added, everything stopped. The only thing that worked consistently was the green LED light on the top!
Please avoid this item. It is cheap plastic, poorly put together and doesn't work!
It is also NOT USB 2.0, although it claimed to be.
Sorry Mr Gadget but this is a complete 'lemon' and you should stop selling it!
