I bought one of these as the Atom is not supplied with a car charger.
I've heard some car chargers being incompatible with the Atom (due to their cable wiring) but this is not one of them.
This charger has a small purple led which lights up the "Force" company logo symbol to tell you that it is working.
According to my rough measurements, this charger supplies around 375mA to the PDA. This is enough to keep charge when the PDA is playing an MP3 while running GPS software. If the PDA is doing less, the charger does recharge the battery. It would take about 4 hours to fully charge a flat battery using this car charger alone. My car is pretty old, so newer car batteries might allow the charger to supply a higher amount of power.
Overall, this charger works as advertised.
