There's a lot of buzz going around about Palm's new gadget the Palm Foleo. I've only just heard of it today. Apparently it's supposed to be a smartphone/treo companion that will remove owner's need to carry around bulky laptops? I don't know about you but if I'm going to carry something that size and weight I may as well bring my 12" Compaq Presario B1800.
Its biggest drawcards are its 10" screen and Linux OS....hmmm...I'm predicting this one to fizzle. Time will tell.
If it wasn't for the inbuilt keyboard on the iMate Jasjam and the unavailability of the Dopod U1OOO in Australia, I think I would get a Dopod D810.
CNet Asia also thinks it's a beaut machine - it got a 8.4/10 from their editor!
The good: Many wireless options including HSDPA; GPS for navigation; good battery life; stylish design; compact and lightweight.
The bad: Lacks FM radio; fingerprint magnet; no software or maps included; speakers face backwards; lacks audio jack.
The bottom line: The Dopod D810 impresses with its host of wireless connectivity options. The presence of a GPS chip that works well sets it apart from the competition in this weight class.
A protective case is an essential part of any PDA collection. The Mr.Gadget Dopod D810 Silicon Case, as its name suggests, is a protective silicon based case for the Dopod D810. The D810 being one of the hot new PDA's around. With its on-board GPS receiver, i'm sure there will be plenty of people carrying one of these around which means being out of the pocket also means a greater chance of dropping it. Make sure it is protected, there's nothing worse than a brand spanking new PDA with a brand spanking new scratch, dint or (*gasp*) crack.
Key Features of the Mr.Gadget Dopod D810 Silicon Case (White): - Fits perfectly on your Dopod D810 as it contours to the devices's design - Retains the sleek, thin look of your device - Protects and covers all edges, buttons and nav pad from any scratches - Holds your device securely in place - Made of high-quality, flexible and durable silicon - Material easily returns to its original form from stretching and pulling
It's inventions like these that remind me why I love gadgets.
Check out Microsoft's newest innovation, the DigiDesk. As Russ Burtner stated, the DigiDesk is all about "visualisation and manipulation of information". Can you imagine having one of these in the future?
After letting the smoke clear and taking a minute or so to think about it, it's not a huge huge leap forward. In the demonstration, the only thing we can't do with PC's today is scan documents without the aid of a scanner. All the other cool functions such as speech-recognition, optical character recognition and searching for data over disparate systems are activities that we can perform today. I think Microsoft have just done a good job of packaging them all up together.

Not to be outdone by its memory card cousins, the memory stick line has been bumped up to the Sandisk Extreme III Memory Stick PRO Duo. This is great news for those with Sony's first ever dSLR in the market, the A100. Now the Sony fans can enjoy the same high speed and high reliability as the Canon and Nikkon fans. So in case you're planning to attend the Live Earth concert in Antarctica or planning a safari in Africa, don't leave home without your Sandisk Extreme III Memory Stick PRO Duo, any other memory stick would probably either freeze or melt repectively.

Wow, talking about getting rid of the clutter and making your UI simple to read and use! It's not even spring!
Yes, it does kinda look like an iPhone doesn't it?
SPB have done an innovative job and brought us program that significantly improves the standard pocketPC interface into something far more functional. The new SPB Mobile Shell app also has a feel of Vista to it, I mean the good feelings... :P
Check out the features of the SPB Mobile Shell: - The most important information on one screen - Phone style menu - Weather forecasts - Photo speed dial - World time - Launcher - Big dynamic tabs on Today - Color based themes - Smart contact search - Auto-hide mode for Today plug-ins
For years Opera has been the choice internet browser (why do I keep spelling that "browswer"!) for many due to its barebones approach. This has resulted in a lean and fast surfing tool that many have come to love.
Later this year, PocketPC and mobile device owners will get a taste of the new mini version, Opera Mobile 9. There are those who've already classified is as "iPhoneish" with the use of widgets (Widgets are small single-function web apps that will be available on the handheld without need to launch the full browser).
Two other neat features is the "grab and scroll" (finger scrolling) viewing and intelli-zoom.
Of course it wouldn't be complete without Opera's famous Small Screen Rendering technology.
The only bad news is that it won't be due till later this year :( In the meantime, pocketPC users it's back to Internet Explorer... *cry*
Mark's post on the Sandisk Extreme 4 Compact Flash 2GB, reminded me of how special these range of cards are. As he highlighted, the two outstanding points about this card are its extreme data read and write times and its ability to withstand extreme temperatures.
These cards are for serious / professional digital photographers or novices with a lot of mula... :)
Here's a press release from August 2006, detailing the Sandisk Extreme's Award for "European Memory Card of the Year": BERLIN, GERMANY, AUG. 15, 2006 - SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK) today announced that the European Imaging & Sound Association (EISA), Europe's largest press organization, has named the new SanDisk Extreme IV line of high-speed CompactFlash cards as the European Memory Card of the Year 2006-2007. The SanDisk Extreme IV card s are the fastest storage cards in the world and are targeted at photographers who require the highest possible performance and the largest capacities for their medium format and high-end digital single lens reflex (SLR) cameras.
EISA is the largest editorial press organization in Europe, with a membership of 52 audio, mobile electronics, video and photo magazines from 18 European countries. The internationally renowned awards are presented annually in recognition of new products that combine the most advanced technology, performance and value. SanDisk has won an EISA award in 2004 for its SanDisk Ultra II line and in 2005 for its SanDisk Extreme III line of memory cards.
SanDisk Extreme IV cards are available in 2, 4 and 8-gigabyte (GB)1 capacities and deliver read and write speeds of 40 megabytes per second (MB/sec.)2, twice as fast as the SanDisk Extreme III cards. This exceptionally fast card speed is critical when shooting large numbers of high-resolution images or transferring large numbers of images from card to computer.
Jorge Goncalves, president of EISA, said, "The SanDisk Extreme IV is the fastest card available at the present time...The card can withstand moisture, dust and shocks, making it the most reliable card for the semi-professional and professional user."
Tanya Chuang, senior product marketing manager for SanDisk's high performance flash memory cards, said, "Once again, we are truly honored to win the prestigious EISA award for the SanDisk Extreme line and to be recognized by such a distinguished panel of imaging experts."
The SanDisk Extreme IV cards are targeted at the professional photographer who needs the absolute highest performance and maximum reliability. The company will continue to offer the SanDisk Extreme III and SanDisk Ultra II lines.
SanDisk is the original inventor of flash storage cards and is the world's largest supplier of flash data storage card products, using its patented, high-density flash memory and controller technology. "Technorati is an internet search engine focused on the world of weblogs. As of June 2005, Technorati indexes over 11 million weblogs. Technorati was founded by Dave Sifry and is headquartered in San Francisco, California, USA. " - Wikipedia 2007
It's definitely a lot slimmer than I anticipated and I think I like the Dopod U1000 silver finish better after staring at my dark Jasjam case for the last couple of months.
Looks like a pretty cool gadget!
Hopefully the upcoming videos will have closeups and the machine in action!
The Nokia N95 multimedia mobile seems to have made quite a splash in a ever-increasing competitive converged device market. Then again, Nokia has always been known as one of the most innovative and creative mobile companies out there. Before I hit the PDA world, I'd always have a Nokia with me. PC Authority have a great write-up on this amazing phone. With many sought after features such as a 5 megapixel camera, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack, I was really keen to read how well this gadget worked as a whole.
They gave the Nokia N95 4/6 stars which means it's decent. Looks like it's biggest stumbling block was the 3 day battery standy time. When you think of all the functionality on board this device, it's somewhat understandable. Still waiting for a smart inventor to come up with more powerful fuel cells and hurry up and make them available to the general public!
After purchasing the iMate JasJam last year, I thought that I had reached the pinnacle in converged mobile phone / pocketPC technology...until a couple of weeks ago when I spotted the new Dopod U1000 (aka HTC Athena & HTC Advantage).
Boy is it a beauty!
The most obviously feature is the 5" VGA screen. More and more I'm surfing the web and blogging on the run and this screen is perfect for that. Sure it compromises portability with the extra size, but being able to view more of my browser is well worth it.
Not too sure about the built-in-slide-out-QWERTY-keyboard though. I still envisage myself using my ThinkOutside Bluetooth Stowaway Keyboard for the close-to-full-size keys. I'll have to play with a real life model to provide a more accurate assessment, but nonetheless it looks decent enough for sustained data entry.
I love the fact that it has a phone built in and what's more will be Telstra NextG 3G Network capable, unlike Samsung's Q1 UMPC.
Specifications and Features of the Dopod U1000: - 3 MegaPixel digital camera - Quad Band GSM (GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900) - Connectivity Options: 3G, HSDPA, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS/GSM, USB, EDGE - Messaging Features: SMS, MMS, Predictive text input, Email - Dimensions: 133.1 x 98 x 16 mm - Weight: 375G - Display: 640 x 480 pixels - Screen size: 5 inches - CPU: Intel PXA 270 processor 624MHz - Video Card: ATi Graphics Chip W2284 - RAM: 8320MB - ROM: 256MB
I know of some people who already have these in Australia imported from the U.S. and other places. The reports from these select have so far been glowing. Dopod as far as I know have not released any official dates for our shores, but I'll keep you posted.
Life is unpredictable and sometimes "bad things" happen to your PocketPC.
Sprite Mobile Backup safeguards the information on your mobile device from theft, system crashes, malicious code or routine upgrades.
I highly recommend backup software like this for people who have spent countless hours personalising and optimizing their PDAs.
Visit www.spritemobile.com and receive a 15% discount on your Sprite Mobile Backup purchase by using the special code PPCM8142 (this isn't a Mr.Gadget code so we don't actually profit from providing this).
I've had my ThinkOutside Stowaway Bluetooth Portable Keyboard ever since it has been available in Australia. It's been a fantastic companion at work, school and overseas trips to type blogs, product descriptions etc. The Stowaway Bluetooth keyboard is just as good as having a full-sized keyboard, but you can take it anywhere and it fits in your pocket. I'm a huge huge fan.
You can imagine my dismay when I found out that the old driver for my XDAIIi did not work with my newish iMate JasJam. To make things worse, the ThinkOutside website didn't have a 'tested' available driver for the iMate JasJam :(
Today, desperate to take advantage of my new found mobile blogging abilities, I downloaded the iMate JasJar Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard drivers from the Support section of the site...and...voila!
Drenched in Melbourne's autumn sun, getting a lovely tan, I sit in Melbourne's foodcourt once again enjoying typing on my Stowaway. *sigh* Life's good.
So if you have a iMate JasJam and a Bluetooth Stowaway Keyboard, surf on down to www.thinkoutside.com for your driver today.
For those looking for a better means to input considerable chunks of data, check out the new version of the Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard, the iGo.
Extreeeeeme! The Sandisk Extreme IV Compact Flash 4GBare coming out at the end of this month so you aspiring, amateur and professional photographers take note! I've been using an Ultra II compact flash card in my dSLR and it's been a consistent and reliable memory card. With the Extreme IV range, Sandisk have upped the ante. With faster read and write times, you'd probably only need one card because transfer of files to a computer is quick enough not to distract you away from when you're in "the zone" of photography. The Extreme IV range also comes with data recovery software so if you accidentally delete 4GB worth of photos (cringe!) there will still be light at the end of the tunnel. My wedding is coming up and we talked to the photographer last night. Hope he's using one of these. If not, he better get one from Mr.Gadget!
Features of the Sandisk Extreme IV Compact Flash 4GB:
- Designed to meet the critical speed and performance needs of serious professional photographers. Significantly improved workflow efficiency for capturing, viewing, upload and transferring large image files - Ideal for demanding photo shoots under severe weather conditions-heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, etc. - Built to perform in the most extreme environments and temperatures-from -13 degrees F to 185 degrees F -25 degrees C to 85 degrees C - Up to 40MB/sec sequential read and write (leveraging the new Extreme FireWire Reader) - Durable, reliable and thoroughly tested-temperature tested (heat and cold); shock and vibration tested - Data recovery software-ensures your photos will always be there (even if you delete them accidentally) - Dedicated, priority technical support hotline for direct customers of SanDisk Extreme products - Included travel case keeps your memory cards organized
My new computer last year came with an ATI X1900 Radeon Video Card, which at the time I thought was pretty good. I mostly play WoW and do web work on this computer. Six months down the track, I noticed that it started overheating due to the fan not spinning when it was supposed to.
If you're looking to buy this card now, I would recommend that you go for the X1950 model as it seems it has less overheating issues.
Anyway, after my typical Google search (I do this when anything technical goes wrong), I found a great Overclocking tool on TechPowerup that overrides default fan settings. This little app (AtiTool) allows for a couple of ways to control the fan in your ATI X1900 Radeon Card such as:
1. Fixed Percentage 2. Try to keep GPU temperature at 3. Dynamic based GPU temperature
The card is performing better, however I'm now in the hunt for a better card! I think the GeForce 8600GT looks good. Apparently Nvidia cards are better for World of Warcraft?
Today I jumped onto the Telstra NextG network quite easily - just went to the T-Shop and got a new 3G Telstra SIM and within minutes I was surfing the web!
To be honest I thought that it would be faster considering that I was in the heart of Melbourne where you would expect would have the best coverage. Despite the fact that I had to wait for around 4-5 seconds for pages to load I was still overall pleased with being able to surf and possibly blog on the run.
Telstra's new HipTop3 is no stranger to fame. It's been in TV shows and movies like Ugly Betty and The Devil Wears Prada. In the U.S. though, it's known by it's other name; SideKick3.
The Hiptop3 has a futuristic form factor complete with swivel colour screen and full QWERTY keyboard. Great for chatting or surfing the web.
Features of the HipTop3: - MP3 Player - Bluetooth - 1.3 MP Camera with Flash - Speakerphone capability
Telstra have got a pretty good deal for the HipTop3. For just $30 a month on a 24 month contract when you buy a hiptop3 mobile you get UNLIMITED: - Instant Messaging - Web browsing - Email - Standard text messaging (SMS) in Australia - Standard picture messaging (MMS) in Australia
Nice plan and gadget but it's not a PocketPC :( I need my Outlook compatible calendar, tasks and notes functions.
It may not be as big of a booyah as yesterday's 8GB SD card but 2GB in a piece of plastic and some metal connectors no bigger than a fingernail is no small feat! The Sandisk Memory Stick Micro M2 2GBis here for the Sony gadget lovers. Now you can realise the potential of your mobile phone by being able to store more than just a handful of mp3's or photos. Leave your iPod at home or at the Apple store. Your phone can now also double as a digital camera so you can take as many photos as your MySpace page can handle. Features of the Sandisk Memory Stick Micro M2 2GB: - Includes Memory Stick PRO Duo adapter for universal compatibility with M2 slots and Memory Stick PRO Duo slots - Dual voltage operation; 1.8v for new Sony Ericsson mobile phones, 3.3v for Memory Stick PRO Duo compatible devices - Controlled ejection design allows for easier removal - Sony Magicgate encryption technology support
Here is the new BOOYAH! In the ever increasing capacity size of memory cards, Sandisk will be adding a new memory card to their SD card range, the Sandisk SDHC 8GB Secure Digital with USB Micromate Reader. With 8GB of storage space, this is way bigger than most people's USB flash drives. Caution though, as not all devices are SDHC compliant, so be sure to check with your device manufacturer before you plug one of these in. If your fortunate enough to have a device that accepts SDHC cards this would be a nice addon. Almost like a small solid state hard drive for your PDA or camera. Way more than enough to accomodate a few videos, mp3's and photos. And a couple of thousand documents.
Features of the Sandisk SDHC 8GB Secure Digital with USB Micromate Reader: - MicroMate for SD supports SD and SDHC - Easily transfer files between a variety of devices: digital cameras/camcorders, handheld gaming, and mobile devices; to your phone, PDA or computer. - Record and playback DVD-quality video - Capture and store high resolution digital images - Listen to CD-quality music - Keep a SD card in the reader and use it as a USB Flash Drive - Carry it with you so you always have access to your important data
Yes the Samsung Q1 UMPC is a lovely device and all but I can't believe they didn't add a phone?
I mean they've incorporated:
- PDA: fast Internet access and easy attachment opening - MP3 and PMP: supports all formats with no need for additional codec - Tablet PC: Windows XP Tablet Operating system and Intel CPU installed - Storage Device: up to 40G portable memory
But not GSM capability? :( This means that you would also need to carry a phone around, quite possibly having to manually synch your contacts.
Other than my whining, PDA Essentials Magazine UK have given it a huge thumbs up with it's best balance of features, performance and value into an attractive portable computer.
Specifications of the Samsung Q1 UMPC: Processor: Intel Celeron M ULV (900MHz) Chipset & Graphics: 915 GMS Internal GFX Memory: 1 SODIMM Socket, DDRII 400 PCB: 10L Build up PCB LCD: 7" WVGA (800 x 480) Audio: Phone out, 2 Array Mic, 2 x 2W Stereo Speakers Storage: 1.8" SFF HDD 20~60 GB Communications: 10/100 Ethernet, Mini card WLAN (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth Multimedia: Multimedia Instant On I/O Port: Phone out, DC-in, CF Card slot (Type 2), RJ45, 2 USB, VGA User Interface: 8 Way Stick, 4 User Key, 3 button (Auto Scale/ Enter/Menu), Hold, Volume Up/Down, Power/MIO, CAD Battery: 3.5Hrs Standard Battery, Over 1.40 Hrs DVD Playback Dimension: 227.5 x 139.5 x 24.5~26.5 mm Weight: 779g (w/o ODD)
There's a reason why the Corsair Flash Voyager GT 8GB USB Flash Drive has been branded with the "GT" symbol. It's fast! With enough room for 3 DVD's, 2500 photos (6MP jpeg) or a couple of thousand mp3's, you'd ideally want something this fast to transfer all that data. It makes me shudder to think that my old PC at home is still running with a USB 1.1 connection! The Corsair Flash Voyager GT is built like a muscle car. Tough, big and fast. No fancy add-ons, just plain performance. It may not be the eye candy of flash drives but who cares when you can transfer all of Britney's CD albums in a flash!
Features of the Corsair Flash Voyager GT 8GB USB Flash Drive: - Plug & Play functionality in Windows Vista, XP, 2000, ME, Linux 2.4 and later, Mac OS 9, X and later - Includes the True Crypt security application allowing for a virtual encrypted drive using AES-256 encryption (bundled version of TrueCrypt is compatible with Windows XP and 2000 only) - Lanyard and USB extension cable included - ReadyBoost compatible - Ten year warranty

As we enter the golden age of technology, our houses are being filled with more and more gadgets that have remote controls. Gone are the days where you had to interrupt your beautifully prepared TV dinner to physically get up and adjust volume settings, change channels, select CDs, switch radio stations or scratch your nose. Okay probably not the last one yet, but we can now do all the above effortlessly now by the touch of a remote.
The problem these days? Which blonkin remote did what and where is it?!
Enter the Logitech Harmony 1000i Remote Control. You can aggregate all your remote control functions (handles up to 15 devices!) in the ONE control. What sets this beauty apart from other remotes (besides it's swanky form factor) is that it can handle complex operations of even the most advanced user. The Harmony 1000's color display makes it easy to control even the aspect ratio and sound modes with the touch of an icon.
Features of the Logitech Harmony 1000i Remote Universal Advanced: One-touch activity controls Simply touch and the Harmony 1000 remote will power on all the necessary components. Easy-to-use 3.5" touch screen With its touch screen and large color icons, the Harmony 1000 sets the standard for elegance and ease of use. Computer-based set-up Simply connect the Harmony 1000 to your computer, and the wizard guides you through the entire set-up process. Rechargeable No need to worry about power with the rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. The handy recharging stand ensures that the unit is always powered up and easy to find. Help button No sound? No picture? No problem! Contextual help guides you through simple troubleshooting to put you back in control. World's largest A/V control database Your Harmony 1000 will control everything from HDTVs to PVR/DVRs, from laser discs to VCRs-even lighting controls! Logitech's online database now includes 4500+ brands and 150,000+ IR devices - and the list is growing every day
I know it's a lot to spend on a remote however this is a highly intelligent device that is actually programmed via a very simple program provided through your PC. It's colour LCD screen is also eye-candy. Compared to other similar universal remote controls out there, the Logitech is actually very well priced.
You may think that webcams are all the same but there are those that definitely stand out and are worth spending the extra mula.

I've always loved playing with robots. Toys like the Transformers, Machine Men and Zoids made me wish I could be some sort of robot maker when I got older. I guess gadgets will do for now :)
Check out this YouTube clip of Japanese Robots in action (spotted on Gizmodo):
The ever popular Belkin Tunecast II has now been replaced by the new Belkin Tunecast 3 FM Transmitter. This universal FM transmitter is the third in line of the successful Tunecast series. And with the generous 20-inch cable that plugs into any 3.5mm jack there is no more need to worry if the cable is too short or too long with the Tunecast 3's integrated cable management. Wow. Why do all the good ideas come when it's too late? If only TeacherTube.com was around when I was in highschool, I could have stayed at home and perfected my PC gaming!
TeacherTube.com looks to be the "smart" alternative to YouTube.com where one can learn about all sorts of educational topics without having to leave one's house! I actually found out about this from a post on Solsie and was actually quite engrossed by the Polynomial Functions lesson. Brought me back to my VCE days...
Here's one that I picked. Reminds me of when my Dad first introduced my brother and I to the wonderful world of magnets. :)
If you were to ask me, what is the most useful software application for my iMate JasJam PocketPC I would easily say it's Microsoft's Voice Command. It's always the first app I load up whenever I get a new PocketPC or install a new ROM.
Microsoft Voice Command Benefits:
Speaker independent: no voice training required New! Bluetooth hands free control: Bluetooth hands free control enhances your hands free eyes free experience and adds privacy to your spoken notifications. Now you can initiate a Voice Command interaction using a Bluetooth headset and some Hands free car kits*. You can also receive spoken notifications in a whisper mode through the Bluetooth headset keeping you privately up to date
New! Spoken Email notifications: You can now configure Voice Command to speak the subject and sender of incoming email messages and the content of SMS messages as they arrive
Spoken Caller ID: You can take full advantage of incoming caller ID without ever looking down at the screen. Incoming call information is spoken as calls are received. You can check for missed calls by simply asking, "What calls did I miss?" and Voice Command will recite the time and phone number of missed calls
Voice-controlled utilities: Users can start any program in the Start menu or programs folder, such as Inbox, Calculator or Solitaire. You can get signal strength, battery level, time and date by voice. Voice Command will even alert you when your battery is getting low
Voice-controlled hands-free phone: Whether in the car, at the airport or walking down the street, you will enjoy true hands-free eyes-free phone conversations without ever having to look at or unlock the device to manually dial a number. You can simply say any name from your contact list with the appropriate command.
Voice-controlled media player: Voice Command turns your device into a super cool personal DJ that lets you play your favorite music by artist, album or genre using voice instead of having to search through a long list
Voice-controlled calendar lookup: Regardless of your location you can simply ask your device about the next appointment or for your calendar for the day. The time, subject and location of each appointment will be read aloud or privately through the Bluetooth headset
I have been using Microsoft Voice Command for more than 2 years now and it's latest version is even better than ever. Voice Command allows you to perform many regular tasks on your PDA by use voicing commands, e.g. "Call Vincenzo Fulgeuras on mobile" will automatically dial the contact Vincenzo Fulgeuras from your contact list. I also like "What's my schedule?", where it reads out to you in order the schedule for the day.
The best thing? It requires absolutely no voice training and you can start using it straight away. Try it for yourself, I guarantee that it will become one of your favourites too :)

The iMate JasJam / Dopod 838 Pro is definitely one of the most stable PDAs that I've had in a while. Kudos to Microsoft for the improved stability and performance that has been a result of many years developing PocketPC software. I think Microsoft did a great job with the operating system that it came packaged with, Windows Mobile 5 (aka WM5). However a couple of months down the track, Microsoft have release Windows Mobile 6 (aka WM6) which although is not a huge improvement, does come with upgrade-worthy features.
List of major changes to Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 / WM6 for PocketPC: - Revamped outlook, refined icons; - Totally re-mastered sound theme; - Increased interface speed; - Bundled IP-telephony (VoIP, SIP standard); - Smart Dial 2.0, fast search through contacts, call history; removable on-screen virtual keyboard; - Any tune can be assigned to any event; - Support for shortcuts in Outlook Mobile; - Full-fledged meetings arrangement system; - Support for HTML in messages; - Smart Filter - handy and fast search through messages; - Numerous MS Exchange 2007-tailored changes; - Integration with Windows Live online-services; - Marketplace - purchase, download, and install directly from the device; - Encryption - bundled memory card encryption
I've downloaded WM6 from XDA Developers as they have souped up versions that have been bundled with some nice applications. Although, I've had no problems with the current version that I'm using (Black Version 3.0), please do this at your own personal risk - read and follow instructions carefully and you'll be fine.
One of our customers, Liam, thinks that Microsoft makes nice mice! I've always been a fan of Microsoft mice especially their first optical intellimouse.
We've partnered with one of Australia's largest distributors of printer ink toner to offer a full range of laser printer ink toner cartridges to our customers!

As a Mac user, I can say two good things about Microsoft. They're great at PC games and they make great mice. I'm sure there's other great things about them, it's just eluding me at this moment. So when these two are combined, it makes for a great gaming mouse: the Microsoft Habu Gaming Mouse. Powered by Razer, this gaming mouse is one for the semi-pro to pro-gamer. But we're all pro anyway right? So I guess this one is for everyone. Quick sensitivity switching, fast response time, ultra-smooth gliding feet, all housed in an ergonomic body. The Habu is not for noobs.

Do you have a Google Gmail account? Wish you had access to your files anywhere? Well if you answered 'yes' and 'yes' you should check out setting up a Gmail drive!
This basically uses the data storage on your Google Gmail account (current lets you store around 2GB of data) as a drive that appears on your PC as another harddrive. As long as you have access to the internet, you'll be able to access your files wherever you are in the world!
Pretty nifty trick for students, teachers and professionals who like to have access to their files without lugging around diskdrives etc.
Our Mr.Gadget Screen Protector range is expanding and now covers the Dopod P800W Pocket PC. The Dopod P800W Screen Protector is accurately cut to cover your P800W screen and protect it from scratches. A great investment to keep away scratches from stylus use, everyday wear and tear and also if you wear earrings. I have complete confidence in the Mr.Gadget screen protectors that I hardly use my stylus anymore. The use of my finger usually does the trick (unless i'm trying to click a small button) and I don't worry about damaging the screen of my PDA. Also the constant wiping of the PDA screen after phone use (you know what I mean you oily faced ones) scares me. But no more with a screen protector. You'll get what you pay for!
How to install your Dopod P800W Screen Protector: Step 1: Clean the mobile phone screen screen surface thoroughly to ensure that there are no dust particles, fingerprints or other contaminants. Make sure to finish with a lint-free dry cloth so that the surface is fully dry before you apply the protector. (Oil or wet particles are difficult to remove when trapped between the protector and the screen.) Step 2: Remove a portion of the screen protector's plastic backing from the top down. Be careful not to touch or expose the underside of the screen protector to dust or fingerprints. Step 3: The screen protector is precision cut to fit the phone screen. For a perfect fit, align carefully the screen protector along one edge of the phone screen (I would recommend the top right hand corner as that is where you will be tapping a lot), and make sure that it is square against the edge. Slowly peel off the rest of the backing and brush down on the screen protector with a dry cloth to allow it to cling to the rest of the screen.
Keeping up with the Johnson's, we have now added the Palm Treo 750v Screen Protectors. It's another one of those smartphones with the funny square screens but whether its rectangular, square or what not, we believe that any LCD screen should be protected. Especially ones where it's a touch screen. I've had the same screen protector for my Dopod 838 Pro and before that on my trusty old XDA II Mini and wouldn't trust any other brand. As many of you would know, the package only comes with one screen protector rather than the traditional 12 pack but it will probably out last any 12 pack out there. Easy to apply, great protection. It's an essential when it comes to my list of accessories for a PDA/smartphone.
The Mr.Gadget screen protectors use CrystalClear technology: CrystalClear screen protectors are designed to provide the highest transparency for applications where light diffusion is not tolerable. Many PDAs do not have strong backlighting and therefore the attached light source may be too dim to use with GlareFree screen protectors. CrystalClear allows the attached light source to shine through while the surface layer protects against abrasions from the stylus.
CrystalClear offers a smooth and crisp writing surface similar to the original PDA screen. The hard coating is highly durable and protects the original screen against all kinds of scratches and abrasions from keys, coins and other sharp objects. CrystalClear feels and looks like the original screen and is highly transparent. Users who prefer the touch and feel of the original screen will choose CrystalClear.
Palm users rejoice. The same great quality Mr.Gadget Screen Protectors that Pocket PC users have been enjoying is now available for the Palm Treo 680, one of Palm's newest PDA devices. The Palm Treo 680 Screen Protector is the same quality screen protector we have for our pocket pc line but is precision cut for the Palm Treo 680 and their funny square screens. The Palm Treo 680 Screen Protector is a sound investment for your device and will definitely give longer life to the clarity of your screen. No need to worry about protecting that screen, let our Palm Treo 680 Screen Protector do it for you!
Features of the Mr.Gadget Screen Protector for the Palm Treo 680: - 2 Year Limited Warranty 2 Year WarrantyWe believe we have the best screen protectors in the market and back this claim with a 2 Year Limited Warranty. How many other screen protector brands offer this quality guarantee? - Anti-Scratch & Durable Under normal daily usage, could last for a long period of time without affecting its smoothness and transparency because of the stiffness of the SPUC material. - Incomparable Clarity Mr.Gadget screen protectors are highly transparent screen protector which presents the highest resolution and most vivid colours of your LCD display. - Silicon Adhesive Coating Glue-Free, silicon coated screen protector leaves NO RESIDUE when you remove it from your LCD display. - Silicon based screen protector Tailor Made to your DeviceThe Mr.Gadget screen protector is not a 'one-size-fits-all' solution; we have dimensions of your device so that it will fit perfectly to your LCD screen - NO TRIMMING or CUTTING required! - Washable and Reusable Wash the Mr.Gadget screen protector with water to remove strong dirt. Dry the screen protector thoroughly before re-applying it back to the LCD screen. However, a piece of scotch tape/masking tape is very useful to remove minor lints and fingerprints that are left on the silicon-adhesive coating. - Smoothness The Mr.Gadget screen protector is bubble-free when it is applied completely. Its glossy finish highly simulates the texture of the original LCD screen.
