 Here's our March Gadget Review Winner's words on the very cool Led Lenser V2 Tactical Torch:Amazing torch, I must say. I've long been a maglite fan, and my triple C-cell torch has served me well over the years, but when I finally decided to jump on the LED bandwagon and try out the next generation of torches, I have to admit to being a little skeptical of the reported brightness of these torches.
I am skeptical no longer. This torch uses 3 AAA batteries in parallel, which in part explains why its so bright, but even still, the LED-cast spot is fantastically clear and bright. Unlike my maglite, there's no focus feature, but that's a small price to pay. The on button allows you to turn on the light without locking the torch to 'on', meaning you can use it to signal. The torch is very light and fits comfortably in a pocket or its accompanying sheath.
This torch is painfully bright - to the point that you could probably scare off would-be muggers by shining it in their eyes.  Although not as flexible and convenient a storage solution as a hard drive, I still find that having a secondary back-up on disc gives me that extra peace of mind.
