Who says you have to have a separate TV and computer monitor. With the Samsung 730MW 17 inch widescreen LCD Monitor/TV, you get both in one nicely equipped package. Being widescreen and HDTV ready, the 730MW is ideal for watching widescreen digital broadcasts and DVD formats, as well as making it easier to work with programs such as Microsoft Excel, ie you don't need to scroll as much to view cells. With a contrast ratio of 500:1, picture depth is good and the side mounted speakers add to the overall screen appeal. At this point I must say the screen looks really cool! Its lines are smooth and the black and silver colouring is balanced beautifully.

This gives rise to awesome versatility when plugging in a DVD, VCR, camcorder, or gaming console. It all depends on what games you enjoy playing. With a response time of 25ms, fps games may give rise to the motion blur. However this shouldn't be a factor with RPG games as much. Logitech MX 3100 Cordless Desktop: Precision plus!

I've been continually impressed with the standard of products Logitech continue to bring out. I recently had to purchase a new Keyboard for my home PC. One aspect I was looking to improve was the performance of the mouse. A lot of optical mice seem to chew through battery power at a rate of knots, as well as not being as smooth and accurate as some of the plug-in brothers. Well the Logitech MX 3100 Cordless Desktop has put my concerns to rest!

What impressed me the most was the performance of the Laser mouse. Laser technology has been incorporated by Logitech, which they say is 20 times more sensitive than optical. I have to say I agree with them. The movement of the mouse is sooooo smooth and precise - no jerky pointer! The mouse is also very comfortable to grip as well as incorporating vertical and side-scroll capabilities and a number of hotkey buttons. What's also cool is the battery-life meter displayed on the mouse. Unlike other mice, you can see when you're running low on juice. So rather than wait for the resultant decreased performance, just pop it in the charger and give it a boost overnight ready to go the next day.

Not to be outdone by the mouse, the keyboard is a delight to use. The buttons are soft to press and you have a number of short keys which you can configure to your liking. It makes navigating windows so easy and efficient! One more thing... if you enjoy fps games, than this is a product you must have! With the precision of the mouse and comfort of the keyboard, gaming pleasure definitely goes up a cog. I can be pretty picking when it comes to technology, but with the Logitech MX 3100 Cordless Desktop, I was left with nothing but a big smile on my face!

Logitech MX610 'Smart' Mouse Reviewed

Everything USB has reviewed probably one of the first USB mouse that receives info from the PC rather than just sending movement/click commands. The Logitech MX610 - the so-called 'Smart' mouse - can inform you of new emails and instant messages via the two different LEDs on the body of the mouse. Antec P180 Advanced Super Mid PC Tower: Silent, organised power!

With computer enthusiasts wanting to crank their machinery to the limits, heating becomes a real problem. The key to maintaining a stable, overclocked PC is to keep the temperature as cool as possible. The easiest way to do that is wack in a few extra case fans to dispel the unwanted hot air within. However one side effect from doing this is increased noise from the box. With a few case fans running, along with the PSU and graphics card fans adding to the picture, your silent computing environment becomes a thing of the past. I had this problem with my previous case. The scary thing was I became used to the racket it produced as it chugged away under my desk. Well it was a problem I had no more when I purchased the Antec P180 Advanced Super Mid PC Tower. Antec has done an excellent job with the P180 of dampening the noise, whilst still keeping the interior at a cool temperature. It incorporates three 120mm fans, as opposed to their more common 80mm cousins. Having a larger diameter, they are able to rotate at a slower rate, yet still effectively clear the hot air that dwells from within. Given they rotate at a slower rate, they produce less noise.

I found the design of the case intriguing, yet brilliant. The PSU and hard drive bay is separated at the bottom of the case, with a fan cleverly placed in-between. Given these components produce a lot of heat, by adding the fan and separating them from the motherboard, the temperature around the computer's main circuitry is kept to a minimum. To further quieten your PC down, the sides and top of the case are made from sound damping material, along with having silicon vibration absorbing mounts for the hard drives to prevent resonance. It did take a little longer to assemble my new computer, but it was definitely worth the effort. The end result – a cool, stylish looking, silent, running piece of machinery that purrs effortlessly under my desk as I demand the utmost in performance! Maaaagnificent!

XtremeMac Airplay : Air Playing Air Guitar

After hearing so much about the XtremeMac AirPlay FM Transmitter for iPod and iPod Mini, (read the review at iLounge.com), I wanted to see what the big deal about it was compared to the Griffin iTrip. So I borrowed my sister's one and have been using it for the past couple of weeks and I was really impressed by the quality of sound that this tiny little transmitter produced. And it was really easy to find another FM station should there be too much interference, thanks to the buttons on the face. The sound was impressive, just as good as the iTrip's sound which is pretty much as good as it gets for FM transmitters.

To be honest, there is nothing in it between the iTrip and the Airplay. You win either way, I suppose the iTrip fits the iPod "aesthetic" better and I admit, it does look better on the iPod, but the Airplay has a much less fiddly way of selecting the station. You choose, it's your choice.

Blueant X3 Micro : So so tiny

I just bought myself a Blueant X3 Micro Bluetooth Headset to replace my lousy wired handsfree unit that BROKE on me. I've had it for about a week now and I just feel like telling the world that IT IS REALLY REALLY GOOD. Like, really good. I can't believe that something that cost more than $250 two years ago is selling for just a tick over $100!

Sennheiser HD650 Headphones : Dream headphones

We tested the Sennheiser HD650 Headphones and let me say, I think I know what headphones they listen to in heaven! This thing made a statement as soon as we received the box! Beautiful, foam-lined box, the headphones delicately positioned within the headphone-hugging cavity, protection for $600 worth of headphones doesn't come any better than this. The headphones themselves were finely sculpted plastic, metal mesh and velvet. I was afraid to take them out of the box because one accidental drop - or pulled cable - meant that "you breaks it, you buys it".

After tentatively pulling on the earpieces to get around my big fat head, I put these headphones on my head. Never has any headphone felt so good around my ears, well I guess velvet-lined earcups would do that to someone. Connected it to my laptop and Presto! One of the most magnificently smooth sounding headphones you're ever likely to hear. I would actually go as far as to say that these are the best headphones I have ever heard. EVER.

The sound was so rich, so smooth, so detailed. As per conventional headphone practice, if you burn them in for 50 hours or so, they will definitely sound a LOT better. Also, using a good-quality headphone amp will enhance the sound even further. Although I got to do neither, the sound blew my mind away - it's so hard to imagine that it would even get better than that. After playing a little bit with EQ, I finally satisfied myself with a sound that was clear and plenty of bass. It was so amazingly detailed, that I could pick out the individual instruments within a mix and I could almost visualise the soundstage, as if the instruments were right there in front of me. More seasoned audiophiles would even be able to pick where each instrument would be, but I'm not that good.

This is definitely an audiophile's headphone. Anyone got a spare $600 they can give me?
