Back from Sydney and glad to be back in Melbourne!
Yes, you've probably noticed from the lack of postings over the last few days, I have been away. This time, our little family flew to Sydney to visit close friends and check out the Lord of the Rings Exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum. Catching up with friends was great, but the LOTR was a bit of a fizzer because of my still very much sprained ankle (Sunday night basketball...) and the fact that is was packed! Try pushing a baby-stroller through a mob of wide-eyed obsessed LOTR fans! Anyway we made it and I'm glad to be back on board. The Mr.Gadget team functioned so well without me that I only received one phone call while I was away and that was just to see what type of milk we buy for the staff! Hmmm... Anyways, if you're looking for a nice place to stay in Sydney try the Hyde Park Plaza Suites on College Street. Great views of inside Sydney, lovely little restaurant and best of all free WiFi!! We were on the 15th floor and there were many unsecured networks. Thank you to those people, however I always encourage anyone with a wireless network to enable security on it! I've seen a lot of MP3 players over the last couple of years - some very tacky and some almost good. 4 Wisdom Teeth pulled out, 13 needles, 6 stitches - My Mouth Hurts!
Today I tested my pain threshold and had all my wisdom teeth removed. Initially, it was only supposed to be the two teeth on my left but after my dentist enlightened me with the fact that I would have to go through the same ordeal for the other two, I promptly requested him to take all 4 out!
The first tooth (bottom right) was not so bad after all the numbing injections and the top two were also very cooperative. Watching Huey's cooking show also helped as I focused on his creation of culinery delights.
However, old faithful in the bottom left of my jaw was a little resistant - there was a little bit of shuffling around as the nurse held my head, Nish my dentist "pushed" with his metal contraption and me trying to stay still! It didn't help that I did not take the prescribed anti-biotics for this tooth when it ached three weeks ago; the infection was still there and countered the anesthetic. To my surprise, I actually felt this tooth being wrenched out of my jaw. Thankfully, the "knockout punch" was quick!
Phew, I was glad it was all over and all done in around 90 minutes! Nish gave me my panadeine prescription and I was actually well enough to drive to my local pharmacist to pick up the drugs. I got some funny looks by other shoppers though - have you ever seen an asian chipmunk? :)
Here I sit back at the computer after taking one capsule, had soup through a straw and a couple hours of sleep. I feel quite good actually despite some pangs from my newly formed jaw holes... Thank God for the relief from the pain He's provided. Actually reading a book by Sipley on Understanding Divine Healing...just in time :)

A lot of my student friends have been coming up to me and quizzing me on "What's the best value web camera around?"
