I've been a Microsoft Internet Explorer user for around 7 years now. Whilst IE is (in my opinion) functionally ok there are security flaws. CNET reported on how the latest flaws were discovered by two different researchers. Two flaws could be used together to allow malicious content to bypass an mechanism in Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 that alerts people about potentially harmful programs, security information provide Secunia stated. The third vulnerability could be used to overwrite the cookies of a trusted site to hijack a Web session, if the site handles authentication in an insecure manner, according to that advisory. The flaws were rated "moderately critical" and "not critical," respectively, by Secunia.

Last year as I was strolling through Harvey Norman's Video Software section, I came across a box of Pinnacle Studio 9 Trial CDs. I quickly scooped one up, because for the last couple of months I've been meaning to organise some of the Video DV tapes I have and hopefully convert them to DVDs. The 30 day trial allowed me to get a feel for this very easy-to-use video editing software!
It took around 1/2 hour or so to download my video recording from my Canon MVX10 to my laptop. 37 Degrees in Melbourne but no fried egg
Boy is it hot down here today! It's a scorching 37 degrees, and we're all in the office hot, dazed, frustrated and a little delirious! But we are continuing to process orders like there's no tomorrow!
For a break, to test how hot it was I went outside and cracked an egg on the cement to see if it would fry it...no go. Maybe I'll search the web for a USB-egg-fryer! So far our Mr.Gadget USB Cup Warmers are the closest thing...

o2's done it again with the o2 XDA IIs PocketPC/Mobile Phone! Yes, I know I said I was going to wait for the o2 XDA IIi but after all the problems I had with installing an unofficial WM2003SE ROM on my XDA II, I said to myself "What the hey! Gimme an o2 XDA IIs PocketPC please!" I've been having fun ever since, and yes, WiFi is working beautifully!
The o2 XDA IIs is a technological stunner! It's suave black and gunmetal casing constrasts entrancingly against the glow of the 3.5" transreflective 64K colour screen.
o2 XDA IIs run by WM2003SE
Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition (WM2003SE) is the OS that drives the o2 XDA IIs. This version is more stable and feature-packed than WM2003 that came installed on the o2 XDA II. Better bluetooth/GPRS/WiFi management, landscape screen support and Transcriber and IE enhancements are the biggest improvements.
Four new buttons appear below the display are very handy - these access the Today Screen, Email, Internet Explorer and the last button is an OK button.

I love the inbuilt WiFi (802.11b)! Previously with my o2 XDA II, I had to swap between my 1GB SD card and Sandisk WiFi 0MB SD card when I wanted to surf. Now that incovenience has been done away with and all I need to do is tap on the WiFi symbol on the bottom right hand of the screen, and voila, I'm online! Pity they didn't replicate this functionality on the o2 XDA II Mini...I would've got that one instead - have you seen the size of these things!!!
What's that!? It's a 39 key QWERTY keyboard on the o2 XDA IIs!
The biggest change between the o2 XDA II and the o2 XDA IIs is the new extendible keyboard. Amazingly enough, the keyboard is not as hard to use as I thought it would be and has already proved itself to be quite useful when writing notes and SMSs. Each key has a little dopple/bubble so you know which key you are pressing. I'm very happy to report that the keys illuminate upon pressing which is very handy in lowlight conditions. I'm still getting used to these buttons but it's slowly growing on me...
Get with the program - get an o2 XDA IIs
This new o2 is a 'must consider' for any mobile professional looking for a way to keep track of time, tasks, contacts and emails. The o2 XDA IIs not only does all the aforementioned, but can do a lot more too. For example, I'll be loading my Navman 4410 GPS onto this tonight. This worked superbly on the o2 XDA II. I also have Journal Bar installed (available from Handango) which gives me information such as the weather for the next four days here in Melbourne!
Congratulations to o2 for not only keeping up in the converged devices but really kicking the competitions butt!
P.S. For those getting the o2 XDA IIs PocketPC/ Mobile Phone, get a bluetooth headset! As mentioned earlier, bluetooth management on WM2003SE rocks!
