I repeat no more international orders - especially from Nigeria or Indonesia

I really feel sorry for the honest people in Nigeria and Indonesia. With all the credit card fraud coming in from these countries, I've joined the ranks of the growing many who refuse to do business with them.

The last couple of days have been such a mess dealing with the bank in regards to a credit card order I thought was genuine coming and shipping to Ireland. I'm grateful that the National Australia Bank Merchant Facilities department picked up on this and informed me immediately. We could've lost quite a lot of money in stock if the transaction was completed! Thank God!

The crooks think they've gotten smarter by organising items to be shipped to Ireland, U.K. or the U.S. - be very careful! Always triple check with your financial institution before sending goods overseas.

Don't know how many of you have heard of Alexa, but I only discovered it a couple of months back. Alexa is owned by Amazon and it allows to check traffic, reach and page view rank for any internet web site in the world. It's a good way of checking out how your site has progressed and also great for comparing against competitors.

I don't know how he got word of our site, but we weren't complaining!

It was funny because that morning I was checking my emails, and I was a bit surprised with the amount of Blueant Supertooth orders that were coming in. I know I updated the pricing 2 nights before, but surely something was amiss - did we price them too cheap? As I was wondering about all this, a project manager friend in Sydney MSNed me with congratulations. "For what?" I asked and he then explained how we were tagged on Channel 7 - it all clicked!

No longer shipping internationally

After 6 months of shipping to different parts of the world, we've made an executive decision to stop this and focus solely on Australia.

The biggest reason was the amount of credit card fraud out there. It was getting to hard to tell whether people were legitimate with their orders. I think the Nigerians and Indonesians are getting smarter with their shifty credit card procedures. This is not an attack on these countries in general only to those inimical characters who have far too much time on their hands.

We apologise to the great customers we've had and could've had - if credit card authentication gets better in the future, we may reconsider our position on this.
