HTC Shift : Shifting to a new dimension of UMPCs!
I'm so in love with HTC gadgets. They're always at the forefront with their PocketPCs and most of their gear is top drawer.Introducing one of their latest products the HTC Shift (aka Shangri-La). It is a UMPC (Ultra Mobile Portable Computer) that looks to be perfect for road warriors.
Earlier this year I had my heart set on getting a HTC Advantage however my focus has changed to this beast. This suits my purpose of blogging-on-the-run more with the solid built in keyboard and larger keys. I know it's bigger but if you're going to be carrying a 5" screen device, 2" is not going to make a huge diff.
Key Features of the HTC Shift
- 7-inch widescreen display
- 30-gigabyte hard drive
- QWERTY keyboard
- Microsoft Vista Business OS
- Windows Media Player 11
- Tri-Band UMTS/HSDPA
- Quad-Band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
- WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0
Keep em coming HTC!

Advantage:
- long battery life.
- Still portable.
- Has GPS, camera, and phone.
SHIFT:
- three times the weight.
- Twice in terms of area
- Extremely short battery life
- No GPS, no camera (only web camera, which does not count), and no phone.
You decide which one is more appealing yourself.
