Official Windows Mobile 6 for Dopods : With Love from HTC

Isn't it nice when manufacturers actually heed the call of their customers? In this case it was us Dopod / iMate owners asking for the latest version of Windows Mobile (WM6).

HTC have come the party! As of today, they are taking a staggered approach to releasing Windows Mobile 6 for their hottest PDAs:

- Dopod 838 Pro / iMate Jasjam
- Dopod D810
- Dopod U1000
- Dopod P800W

Don't hold your breath with Version 6. I just bought a HTC P3600i from "3" and tried syncing via bluetooth to my 2007 Holden Commodore (the most common business vehicle in Oz). The 2 synced, however for some reason the phone isn't detecting the in car microphone! I would love to know if anyone else has the same problem. By the way, my Motorola A1000 (Symbian O/S) works perfectly in the car on bluetooth.

I have the same problem with the Calais. HTC sets up Ok and then drops out after the first use. Thereafter, car bluetooth gives "Voice In" message but then will not pick up calls etc. Holden put in new Bluetooth Octber 07 Update Module-still not a fix. HTCP3600i not on Holden's tested list-but earlier HTC models are.HTC have not tested this model on the Holdens either. Just call Holder 1800 033 349 and complain. It may bring a fix
