Telstra NextG 3G Network: Is it good for you?

Today I jumped onto the Telstra NextG network quite easily - just went to the T-Shop and got a new 3G Telstra SIM and within minutes I was surfing the web!

To be honest I thought that it would be faster considering that I was in the heart of Melbourne where you would expect would have the best coverage. Despite the fact that I had to wait for around 4-5 seconds for pages to load I was still overall pleased with being able to surf and possibly blog on the run.

Who else has tried it out?

I'm no Telstra fanboy, but we've been trialling th e NextG network at work with PC Cards, JasJam and Motorola V^ phones as modems, and the results are fantastic compared to other 3G offerings. I regularly get faster download speeds on NextG than on my 1500kbps home ADSL.
    I Love it.
