Microsoft's DigiDesk : Like Wow...
It's inventions like these that remind me why I love gadgets.
Check out Microsoft's newest innovation, the DigiDesk. As Russ Burtner stated, the DigiDesk is all about "visualisation and manipulation of information". Can you imagine having one of these in the future?
After letting the smoke clear and taking a minute or so to think about it, it's not a huge huge leap forward. In the demonstration, the only thing we can't do with PC's today is scan documents without the aid of a scanner. All the other cool functions such as speech-recognition, optical character recognition and searching for data over disparate systems are activities that we can perform today. I think Microsoft have just done a good job of packaging them all up together.
