Linksys WPS54G Wireless Print Server: Print from wherever.
It just occurred to me the other day that we usually tend to leave a particular computer in the office switched on because it's connected to the printer and people still need to print (i.e. me) after the person using the computer has left for the day. Which can potentially be a bit of a waste of electricity, just keeping a computer on when it's not being used.Which brings me to the Linksys WPS54G Wireless Print Server. This is a great idea - why didn't I think of it before? Being able to share your printer over the network wirelessly - it means you can place the printer wherever it's most convenient, and it doesn't necessarily have to be next to a computer. It supports USB 1.1 and 2.0 printers and a multitude of protocols - TCP/IP, AppleTalk and SMB to name a few. It also caters to both the home user and experienced system admins - with easy to use configuration tools and also supports SNMP management.
Never be printer restricted again!
