Micro SD: The new Transflash Memory Card

Just when you thought that the Mini SD card format was small, at about two-thirds the size of a standard Secure Digital card, Micro SD (formerly known as Transflash) is making its way into town. At about half the physical size of Mini SD cards, which were small enough to swallow, Micro SD cards are tiny. Don't go breathing in too hard around this card, you might just breath it in, it's so small!

But why the change of name? Why "micro SD"? Will there be a "nano SD"? How about "The memory card formerly known as Transflash"? All these questions, or maybe just the important ones are answered in the following link.
