Microsoft's Fall 2005 Mice & Keyboard

Microsoft is preparing their latest arsenal of mice and keyboards for the 2005 showdown with Logitech's latest G-series, consisting of G5, G7 and G15. Among the new devices, the Laser Mouse 6000 (US$60), Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 and Ergonomic 4000 Keyboard caught our attention.

The 6000, being a high-sensitivity USB mouse, is obviously targeting at the similarly-configured G5. Though, it seems to lack G5's unique 'weight cartridges' and 'gaming feet'.

The Optical Mouse 3000 (US$30) is luring lappy owners with a Nike shoe-lookalike shell in that it is encased mostly with rubber. There's also a magnification thumb button, a real bonus for users of the smaller 12" laptops out there.

Last but not least is the Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 (US$55). The wired USB spilt keyboard separates both sides with a 14-degree gap, complete with a 7-degree wrist rest. Additional features include a zoom slider and a bunch of other programmable buttons.

According to various sources, these devices are set to launch in early September.
