• Once the computer enters the 'Lock Mode', a password is required to use the computer if the transmitter is unavailable. If a user boots or reboots their computer, one of two things will happen: (1) If the transmitter is near the computer, then it will be automatically unlocked i.e the transmitter and PC lock are talking…no lock mode needed. (2) If the transmitter is not near (i.e an unauthorised user is trying to use the computer) then it will be locked and a password is required. Walking into range with the transmitter at this point will NOT unlock the computer, a password is still required. Furthermore, if the PC lock is removed either when the computer is on or off, the password is required.
