Jabra BT500 Mobile Bluetooth Headset : Here next month!
I have been waiting for the Jabra BT500 Bluetooth Headset to arrive on our fair shores for almost 18 months now and yesterday I got confirmation that it's only weeks away - looking around mid-September for this gadget.Recognised as one of the world's top class mobile headset designers, Jabra will continue to dazzle Australian mobile users with their Jabra BT500 bluetooth mobile headset. For those who enjoyed using the Jabra BT250/FS258, you'll enjoy the new slimmer and lighter Jabra BT500. Despite the new and improved form factor, battery life is still good with the Jabra BT500 providing 8 hours of talktime and 240 hours of standby time.
Jabra BT500 has Bluetooth 1.2
The Jabra BT500 also comes with Bluetooth 1.2 on board. This new Bluetooth standard includes improvements in frequency sharing with 802.11 technologies, improvements in quality of service and more. The most important feature in the new standard is Adaptive Frequency Hopping which keeps Bluetooth and 802.11 devices from interfering and also keeps digital cordless phones and microwaves from competing with your PDA/mobile phone when they're trying to connect. Another important note is that Bluetooth version 1.2 is backwards compatible.

I Have had "confirmation that the vaperware BT500, as mistical as a Microsoft product that doesn't crash, will be released nearly every month for the past 2 years. On several occasions the recanted and denied that there was a BT500.
Re-re-re-re-re-re-re-release again "NEXT" month.

Can I get $5 off for every month form sept. that this product isn't released? By my calculations, with the moon in-line with mercury in the year 2009, (probably in May) the all new just release in Jan 2003, only a mere six years behind schedual, almost a Microsoft product but a good idea "back in the day" the product would be FREE with a $5 a month discount. So If I can get the discount ship me one in 2009 when once cutting edge product ships and I will take it down to the technology museum where there will be a spot reserved for the "headset that never was".

September of what year? They told me in August of 2004 that it was "Shipping soon". I think maybe Jabra wants to be bought by Microsoft.

Hi All,
I agree with all of you. Jabra has frustrated us with their broken promises but the reason why we all care is because the BT500 looks to be the best bluetooth headset on the market.
The only reason why I am certain that it's really around the corner is that it has appeared on my supplier's website with pricing and an ETA.
Let's hope it does arrive next month or that Jabra starts to give us our first $5 instalment... :)
Best Regards,
Arnold

Give me the $5 please, it is now "MID" Sept. so I can safely say that the JABRA BT500 was not shipped in "EARLY" Sept. as I was promised by JABRA. I assume they meant the year would be 2005 am I wrong on the year? Anyone seen a BT500 that was working and not jsut a mock-up or picture?
