San Jose, California USA - Lovely 24 degrees today

Here I am back in the U.S. Once again I'm sitting in Star Bucks at the Great Mall in San Jose, waiting for my wife to finish shopping.

The weather is currently a beautiful 24 degrees celsius, with a light breeze and mostly clear skies. According to the last weather update on my PDA (WorldMate Pro) it says that Melbourne's weather today will be a cold 13 degrees with showers - no prizes for guessing where I would prefer to be at this current moment.

I'll be back in the office on Monday, but it's business as usual in regards to orders - they're being pushed out as quickly as possible.

Here's a couple of pictures from the Silicon Valley:

Great Mall, San Jose.
Great bargains, great shopping, great American fast food! Here's a picture of me getting a Chinese massage; two words: never again. It was far from relaxing and more like Chinese torture.

Borders Bookstore, San Jose.
Stocked up on some businessie type books (got one on avoiding dysfunctional teams), bookmarks and gadget magazines.

In and Out Burgers, San Jose
Amercian fast food at its best! The guys at In and Out only serve THREE different value meals and make fries fresh. Very popular burger joint in California.

A street in Milpitas, California
Nestled amongst the distinctive sun-burnt Calaveras Hills, Milpitas is a suburb adjoining San Jose. Around a 1 hour drive from San Francisco and home to some of my favourite relatives, this would be one of the places in the U.S. where I would consider living.
Despite the huge possibilities in the U.S., I still call Australia home and can't wait to be back in Melbourne!

    Hi Arnold,

You don't happen to have Filipino ethnicity do you?

    Hi Brian,

Yes I am Filipino, but I consider myself more Australian having spent only the first two years of my life in the Philippines!

But I still like going back and seeing all the relatives and the beaches!

    Hi Arnold,

I'm afraid you don't have a Genuine Chinese Massage.

    Hi Andy,

Haha! Thanks for your comment. I didn't mean to offend anyone, but the massage that I received was painful rather than relaxing. When my body recovers I will look for a Genuine Chinese Massage...

    Best Regards,
    Arnold

    Hi Arnold
I spoke to my daughter in Seattle today and the weather is great all along the West Coast. Enjoy the Starbucks and Hersheys and the shopping. I'll get my fix when I go 'home' for Thanksgiving.
    Cheers
    Diana in St Kilda

    Hi Diana,

I love Seattle! Was there in November last year visiting relatives and I love the lush greenery, however it's a little to cloudy for me.

Just got home on Sunday and still a bit jetlagged, but it's great to be back.

All the best for when you head back north for Thanksgiving!

    Best Regards,
    Arnold
