Palm LifeDrive Mobile Manager : 4GB on board!

Could the Palm LifeDrive Mobile Manager be PalmOne's ticket back to the top of the PDA charts? With bluetooth, WiFi, 65K colour screen and a whopping 4GB on board, it just may be! I'm surprised why none of the other PDA manufacturers haven't released higher capacity data storage for their machines. Well Palm definitely has first-mover advantage in this round.

Personally, I would have liked to see the Palm LifeDrive come with mobile phone functionality and camera built in and am quite puzzled that these have been left out. At the end of the day, I still think it will do well in today's data storage hungry market.

What video does it actually support - I cant seem to find that information anywhere. I would presume that it will not support Divx playback?

    Hi Anonymous,

I don't think it plays Divx out of the box but there are Divx players our there for the palm. You may want to try searching www.divx.com for further information.

    Hi Anonymous,

Having cheap prices and actually having stock on hand are different things. We don't compete against these kind of dealers.

I would advise you to check if they actually have stock...

    Regards,
    Arnold

I listed one on ebay the other day for $400 (+ shipping).

No takers - does that mean that there is noone out there interested in these units anymore?
