Easter - Its real meaning

As a Christian, I am saddened by how the world has forgotten the true meaning of Easter. Instead of being a time of rememberence and celebration of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross, our minds are filled with thoughts of chocolate Easter eggs, Easter sales and what to do on the garden over the long weekend. His life, death and resurrection were to give you more than the aforementioned, so much more!

This Easter I will remember the hope that God gave through Jesus. The hope that because Christ died, I now live...

Thank you so much for the encouragement. Here is me cathing up on my left over work load during this long weekend, forgetting to reflect on why I have this personal relationship with God in the first place!

Let's continue to celebrate this awesome event for what it is - that someone eles's death has brought us life!

I agree also with the first comment - to have this info on a website of this nature - what a true witness!

thanks for the great post on easter.
I agree that people forget the real meaning.
I am new in Aus. and it scared me to see how people live without believe in God.
