Plantronics M2500 Bluetooth Headset Review - it's got a green light!
Light, good sound, easy-to-access controls...the Plantronics M2500 Bluetooth Headset is a good all-rounder. The specialist in telephony headsets has not let us down with this consumer-minded headset.
The biggest difference I noticed about the Plantronics M2500 Bluetooth Headset is that it does not have the blue-light that distinguishes every bluetooth headset I've used to date! The Plantronics M2500 has a green light! Besides this anomaly, this bluetooth headset operated liked the rest; pair it to your device and away you go.
Pairing the M2500 requires you to first power on the bluetooth headset, then press the volume dial UP and ANSWER button together for around 2 seconds. The LED will then flash green and red which signifies that the Plantronics M2500 is waiting to be paired. Simply punch in four zeros as the PIN on your mobile device and that completes the process.
I was able to immediately answer phone calls using the Plantronics M2500. When a call comes in, the headset also rings in your ear - this ring is not audible if the unit is not on your ear. To answer calls, I just pressed the ANSWER button located near the tip of the microphone boom. Voice clarity was good however Mark on the other line did mention a slight echo. After moving around a bit, he confirmed the echo disappeared.
Battery life is decent, with 5 hours talk time and 120 hours standby time; around 5 days of little usage and 2-3 days with normal usage.
Comfort-wise, it sits quite 'snuggly' around the ear with the ear bud fitted to cover the auditory canal (Crest of Helix). It is bendable so can fit around most ears, I believe. It's also very light so isn't annoying to wear.
I gave the Plantronics M2500 Bluetooth Headset four out of five stars! Great work Plantronics!

Excellent info on the M2500. Thanks to your review, I finally got it working. I bought an LG PM325 and a Plantronics M2500 today and for about 6 hours I had no luck getting the M2500 to flash green to red based on the Plantronics website instructions. They really should be ashamed and chastised for crappy documentation. Anyway your article got me up and running so thanks.
